What Are Bio-Identical Hormones And How Can They Help Me?

Hormones are very powerful substances that affect every cell of our body: it is not surprising that we experience a myriad of unpleasant symptoms and conditions when our hormones become imbalanced or deficient. There is a stigma currently held against conventional hormone therapies that do not hold true for bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT). The differences between synthetic and biologically identical hormones are in their chemical structure and functionality. BHRT hormones have the same chemical structure as the hormones created naturally in the human body; thus, given at physiological doses they maintain a highly safe and efficacious profile. BHRT is an integral part of whole body and cell rejuvenation. It plays a vital role in anti-aging and immune health.

Hormonal deficiencies and imbalances affect men as well as women. It is estimated that 13 million men have symptoms of low testosterone levels and only 5-10% of these men will seek treatment. In addition, it is estimated that approximately 55 million women in the U.S. have deficiencies as well.
